Back to GriddedTerms of Service
Last updated: June 24, 2026
These Terms of Service govern the use of Gridded, a web-based site context analysis tool for architects, urban planners, students, and related professionals. The service lets users create projects, generate site analyses for selected areas, edit map layers and custom geometry, and export project outputs.
1. Service Provider
Service provider: Michał Dyra, Szyszkowa 32, Opypy, 05-825, Poland. The service provider operates as an unregistered business (działalność nierejestrowana) in Poland. Contact email: support@gridded.pro. Contact phone: +48 503 925 360.
2. Definitions
- Token: the paid unit consumed when Gridded fetches and builds a new source dataset for a selected study area. The number of tokens an analysis costs scales with the size of the selected area (see Section 6).
- Site analysis: a generated project dataset created after the user selects a location and area and clicks Generate.
- Refresh data: a paid action that updates source data for an existing project and consumes tokens for the selected area.
- Active project: a saved project available in the user account and counted toward the plan limit.
- Extra tokens: separately purchased token packs used after the plan's monthly token allowance is exhausted.
3. What the Service Includes
After a site analysis is generated, the user may work inside the project without consuming additional tokens for ordinary editing actions.
Changing style presets, adjusting layers, drawing custom buildings or plots, importing DXF files, switching 2D/3D, running shadow studies, and normal exports do not consume additional tokens.
4. Plans and Launch Pricing
Unless the checkout states otherwise, launch pricing is as follows:
- Free: 0 PLN, 5 tokens/month, 1 active project, PDF export only, watermark
- Student Monthly: 19 PLN/month, 40 tokens/month, 25 active projects
- Student Annual: 149 PLN/year, 40 tokens/month, 25 active projects
- Solo Monthly: 49 PLN/month, 150 tokens/month, 100 active projects
- Solo Annual: 490 PLN/year, 150 tokens/month, 100 active projects
- Studio: individual pricing and plan scope agreed on request for team or office use
Paid plans include export access to PDF, SVG, DXF, and GeoJSON unless the product UI states otherwise.
5. Extra Token Packs
- 30 tokens: 29 PLN
- 100 tokens: 79 PLN
- 250 tokens: 179 PLN
Extra tokens are valid for 12 months from purchase unless mandatory law requires a longer validity period.
6. Token Consumption Rules
Tokens are consumed when the user creates a new project area and clicks Generate, or uses Refresh data for an existing project.
The number of tokens consumed scales with the size of the selected analysis area: a small area costs one token and larger areas cost more, up to a defined maximum per analysis. The exact token cost for the current selection is shown in the product before you confirm a generation, and the maximum analysable area is limited for technical reliability.
Monthly plan token allowances reset on each billing cycle and do not roll over. Extra tokens are used only after the included monthly allowance is exhausted.
7. Student Plan
The Student plan is available only for non-commercial use and only for accounts that verify the currently signed-in academic email through the in-product student verification flow.
The verified academic email is linked to the account used for checkout. If the signed-in email changes, is no longer an academic domain, or no longer matches the verified email stored on the account, Student checkout may be blocked until the academic email is verified again.
If commercial misuse or other abuse of Student pricing is found, the provider may suspend Student eligibility, move the account to Free, or require migration to a commercial plan.
8. Payments and Billing
The Service and paid checkout are limited exclusively to users and entities located in the territory of Poland. Stripe checkout requires a Poland address for paid orders, and payments are processed by Stripe using payment methods made available there. For consumers, listed prices are gross prices (exempt from VAT under Article 113(1) of the Polish VAT Act) unless the checkout clearly states otherwise.
Monthly and annual plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. The exact renewal date, price, billing period, and order summary are shown before purchase.
9. Consumer Information & Right of Withdrawal
Before an order is placed, the checkout must display the total price, the billing period, whether the plan renews automatically, the included monthly token allowance, the active-project limit, and the validity of extra tokens.
For Polish and EU consumers, you have the right to withdraw from this agreement within 14 days without giving any reason.
If you ask for the digital service to start immediately after payment, Gridded may provide paid access, recurring subscription benefits, or extra tokens before the 14-day withdrawal period ends. Where permitted by applicable consumer law, the right of withdrawal is then lost once performance begins after your prior express request and acknowledgment.
In Gridded, performance for paid digital features begins when you start using paid analyses or use tokens after purchase. The checkout consent is intended to cover that immediate start of performance.
10. Exports and Technical Safeguards
Exports are included according to the selected plan. The provider may apply reasonable anti-abuse safeguards, technical rate limits, and security checks to protect the service.
11. Intellectual Property
The Gridded software, interface, branding, and original materials remain the property of the provider or licensors. Users retain rights to their own uploaded and manually created content to the extent allowed by law and third-party source terms.
12. Data Sources and Availability
Results depend on third-party mapping, hosting, analytics, authentication, payment infrastructure, and public or commercial data sources. Gridded is provided as a digital service and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or perfect completeness of every source dataset.
Map and geometry data shown in the product and included in exports may originate from OpenStreetMap contributors (licensed under the Open Database License, ODbL), from MapTiler or Stadia Maps basemap and geocoding services, and from the Polish Główny Urząd Geodezji i Kartografii (GUGiK) cadastral parcel service. Attribution for these sources is shown in the product and on exported outputs as required by their licenses.
If an export (for example a GeoJSON file) contains an extractable copy of OpenStreetMap-derived geometry or attributes, that portion of the export remains subject to the ODbL, including its attribution and share-alike terms, if you redistribute it further. Gridded's own outputs and styling are not subject to share-alike merely because OpenStreetMap-derived data was used as an input.
13. Acceptable Use
Users must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, resell access without permission, abuse usage limits, or use the service in a way that violates law or third-party rights.
14. Complaints and Support
Complaints and support requests may be sent to support@gridded.pro. Complaint handling and refund rules are described in the Refunds and Complaints Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
15. Changes to the Service or Terms
The provider may update the service or these Terms for legal, technical, operational, pricing, or security reasons. Material changes affecting active paid users will be communicated before taking effect where required by law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Polish law, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to the user.
